Mastoplastica & Gravidanza
Migliorare l’aspetto del proprio seno con la mastoplastica additiva e affrontare al meglio una gravidanza sono due argomentazioni che spesso convergono tra di loro.
Bellezza vs. Maternità
Molte giovani pazienti, desiderose di migliorare le dimensioni e la forma del proprio seno, spesso convivono con due comuni e comprensibili preoccupazioni. Queste sono l’impossibilità o difficoltà di allattare un domani e di rovinare il lavoro del chirurgo in seguito ad una gravidanza.
Mastoplastica pre gravidanza
Se si desidera aumentare il volume del proprio seno, specifiche tecniche consentono di inserire le protesi mammarie in apposite tasche senza danneggiare la funzionalità dei dotti galattofori che veicolano la fuoriuscita del latte.
In caso di mastopessi, ossia il lifting del seno, le possibilità di poter allattare, invece, si riducono. Ciò soprattutto se è necessario procedere con la tecnica verticale che prevede anche il riposizionamento del capezzolo per la correzione della ptosi mammaria, la mammella cadente. Tuttavia, anche se ridotta, la funzionalità dei dotti non è mai del tutto persa.
Il vero ostacolo potrebbe presentarsi, piuttosto, in caso di mastoplastica riduttiva, l’intervento per diminuire le dimensioni di un seno troppo grande.
Poiché i dotti lattiferi non sono distribuiti in maniera uniforme, è difficile salvaguardarli e garantire che non vengano recisi. Per queste ragioni è molto importante avere le idee ben chiare prima di procedere all’intervento chirurgico, soprattutto se si è molto giovani.
Gravidanza post mastoplastica
Riguardo il secondo punto, invece, non è possibile prevedere se effettivamente il seno manterrà o meno la sua bellezza in seguito al cambiamento ormonale e all’eventuale aumento di peso.
Ciò può variare da paziente a paziente, dall’elasticità della pelle e dalla durata dell’allattamento stesso. Molte pazienti non accusano alcun cambiamento, al contrario trovano che in seguito alla gravidanza il seno sia diventato semplicemente più naturale e bello. In ogni caso, in linea generale, posizionando le protesi sottomuscolo piuttosto che sottoghiandola, la forma del seno viene meno compromessa poiché comunemente i cambiamenti, come un possibile modesto rilassamento, coinvolgono solo i tessuti sovrastanti le protesi.
Cosa si desidera veramente
Ad ogni modo, qualunque sia il tipo di intervento al seno da affrontare, ci tengo a ricordare che in ogni caso prima di essere genitrici si è donne e quel conta è il presente e il benessere psicologico attuale.
Quando si presenterà l’occasione di dare alla luce un bambino, non si sarà meno madri se si dovrà ricorrere al biberon e sicuramente il bambino gioverà maggiormente di una mamma che si sente bella e rilassata che stressata perché lotta con il cambiamento che ha subito o che sta subendo il proprio corpo.
La chirurgia è sempre pronta ad accogliere anche tante donne che desiderano ritrovare la propria forma dopo la gravidanza, come nel caso del mummy makeover.
